I'm looking for some RPs set within the Avatar the Last Airbender or Legend of Korra universes with a healthy blend of plot, adventure, humor and smut, whether playing within the established canon or some AU deal. (One plotline the Avatar creators wanted to explore was the idea of Princess Azula being in an arranged marriage, and I’d be curious in exploring that further.)

There are two original characters I’m particularly interested in using, though I have a number of others in storage and can craft some NPCs on the side:
1. Hatori (appearance): A bi-racial healer, tea-shop bouncer and member of the Avatar/Korra-verse's answer to the International Red Cross. Sincerely dedicated to peace, he is well-versed in various forms of nonviolent resistance. In Aang's time, he'd be a Northern Tribe Waterbender who only learned the art's healing aspects; in Korra's era, he'd be a non-Bender whose dormant Waterbending potential was awakened by the Harmonic Convergence. (If the HC could awaken hundreds of Airbenders, what's to say it couldn't unlock slumbering Fire/Earth/Waterbending potential too?)
Skills: Waterbending (healing only), staff-fighting, chi knowledge (both for bolstering healing and chi-blocking purposes)

2. Minoru (appearance): An Airbending scholar and reluctant spirit detective who seems to live under the curse "May you live in interesting times", his peaceable nature hides a quiet ambition to take his Bending to the ultimate level and love of—and talent for—uncovering secrets. Having since accepted his inability to ignore someone needing his help and persistent tendency to get involved when he sometimes shouldn't, his demand for the truth and uncovering what others want hidden has both enriched his life and brought great chaos, having earned a fair number of friends and enemies.
Skills: Airbending, cooking, investigation, drawing, reading people

Particularly craved canons are Suki, Azula, Ty Lee and Kuvira (whether the encounters be platonic, friendly, rivalry or even romantic), and I'm especially interested in finding someone willing to play as Korra. While Republic City is interesting in itself, there are some ideas that have popped into my mind (and could be expounded upon in OOC):

• Red Lotus!Korra (being raised by Zaheer and company, only to somehow break out and seek her own destiny)

• Gangster!Korra (maybe becoming part of the Triple Threats or outright running them)

• Korra in Aang's time (not being the Avatar herself, but still a wandering Waterbending master and martial artist; perhaps she was refused training by Pakku?)

I'd also be interested in anyone willing to transplant Korra into a variety of other settings, such as those listed below:

• Dungeons & Dragons-esque high fantasy/swords and sorcery: Korra being an adventurer and wandering monk (think someone like Delilah Dirk or Samurai Jack) from a martial order known for believing enlightenment is obtained via ascetic self-discipline and mastery of body and soul (a philosophy that wouldn't jive with her personality), going on a pilgrimage and using said mastery of combat to protect the weak, right wrongs and generally be "a fearless protector of the good stuff"?

• Modern-day superheroics: Well, the Avatar can easily qualify as a superheroic legacy and Korra genuinely relishes her role without needing some tragic happenstance to push her into it (an increasingly rare quality nowadays), so there's virtually no alterations needed (though maybe Vaatu could play a greater role or something).

• Pokémon: A roving trainer (Naga being a Beartic) as well as a fan and formidable contender in the Pokémon MMA circuit. (And as a nod to her Avatar-hood, she could have Aura potential, even if currently she has the spiritual knowledge and inclination of a brick.)
